“Mate of fate”
The apple has been a symbol of love and beauty in myths and stories worldwide.
There is also an old Japanese story about a red thread connecting one's destined partner.
An engagement ring given by a man to a woman is tied with a red thread wrapped around an apple and placed on a table.
It was with these thoughts in mind that I created this work.
