Paris-based artist, Amandine Urruty offers a collection of wonderfully deviant portraits. The monochrome, nearly life-sized drawings of Amandine Urruty are rendered in pencil and charcoal and resemble nonsensical set designs packed with mismatched figures and curiosities. Urruty first began drawing as a means of combating boredom as a child growing up in rural southern France. Urruty is inspired by old photographs from her childhood, as well as tattoos, Surrealism, and Flemish paintings and kitschy knick-knacks.
